Condolences to the Martyrs of Egypt

Today, we express our sincere condolences to the victims for democracy who have been killed across Egypt. To the injured we offer our prayers for a successful and speedy recovery. We pray that you remain resolute in your pursuit of democracy. We pray that the families of all the casualties persevere in their quest for freedom, opportunity, hope and inclusiveness. Today, we leave you the encouraging words of Toussaint Louverture: "IN OVERTHROWING ME, YOU HAVE DONE NO MORE THAN CUT DOWN THE TRUNK OF THE TREE OF...LIBERATION... -IT WILL SPRING BACK FROM THE ROOTS, FOR THEY ARE NUMEROUS AND DEEP."
