To all friends, countries and peoples - victims of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), I bid you a speedy recovery to good health and to normal life. And to those who have died, I extend my deepest sorry to your family and loved ones.
As my family and I prepare and await the mathematical surety of greater adverse impacts from the pandemic here in Washington, D.C., United States (US), we do so fearlessly, yet, not stupidly. We continue to follow proper hygiene regiments implored upon me as a boy - washing hands, etc. We are also utilizing procedures provided by my wife's family in China as well as directions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are confident that we will defeat this Novel Coronavirus.
But my main objective today, is to relay well wishes and a cheer to speedy and full recovery to the people of China, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Japan and to all the other people victimized by this pesky virus.
To my fellow Americans, I suggest a sounder seriousness to the gravity of the dangers posed by COVID-19. A few will die, some will be badly sickened, but most people will live. And to my comrades in the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa, where the full force of the pathogen is yet to be felt, I encourage you to prepare for the coming of the pandemic. May God show you mercy. Good luck!
