Dictatorial Ploys within some Democracies - an Emerging Trend

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in attaining a suspension of Parliament to fulfill his Brexit determination with minimal consideration from the representatives of the people, has affirmed a widening ploy employed by some democracies to invoke dictatorial powers within assumed free political systems.

In the United States (US), Executive Orders and rule changes have been widely used by President Donald Trump to further his political agenda void of any input from and by the people and their representatives.

Undue Pressure upon Humanity - Man-made and Widening

Inaction on Climate Change, hot conflicts, instigated strife, an unnecessary trade war, dangerous rhetoric, an itchy desire to use nuclear weapons, right wing and populist divisions, and apathy are all man-made events and attitudes that are placing undue pressure upon the human species. These circumstances are dominating and defining our modern times.

The Amazon is on fire and so are large swaths of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola; Syria and Yemen are still engulfed with conflict; and some world leaders continue to stoke hate, trade wars, agitations and division, thus dwarfing healthy human development.

A Pompous Leader Threatens Vital Aid to Fight Dangerous Amazon Fires

News reports that Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro would reject vital international aid to assist in the fight against the record numbers of fires burning in the Amazon, is preposterous. Thus, any such action by the Brazilian should color him as a pompous ass, who would risk the health of Planet Earth and the livelihood and safety of the Brazilian people in deference to his fallible irritating and arrogant character.

Reported by news outlets and cited by the BBC-News, Bolsonaro, the right wing leader of Brazil, has said that he would reject the G7 $22 million aid package hatched at the recent G7 meeting, in France and meant to fight the dangerous record number of 1,750 plus fires blazing in the Amazon.

The Future of Humanity Rests with Our Young People

My third son - 13-years-old (and I already have two Ivy League college grads), started his High School education this morning, here in Washington, DC. He was joined by his brother, my fourth son, who started Seventh grade along with tens of thousands of other students, who returned to school here in the United States (US), signaling the end of Summer vacation, 2019, for a number of young people.

Seeing my children and their peers return to school, I'm reminded that amid current and widening man-made events of division, insecurity and blatant adult disregard for our natural environment, that humanity's best hope for continuity of the human species on Planet Earth, squarely rests with our children.

To Live or to Survive - the Decision for Humanity

Hello World! I've been offline for a while and experimenting on a new digital publishing service, which has proved unsuccessful for my non-commercial purposes, so I've resorted to this old format to continue to spread the word of peace and to encourage the aspirations of all peoples in building their ideal societies of happiness, liberty, equality and rule of law.

In my quest to experience societies that are of the people, for the people and by the people - societies that function in service to the people, my family and I were privileged this Summer, 2019, to walk among the people of Canada, France and Luxembourg.
