As officials in Sri Lanka ponder a breakdown in their intelligence that faulted notification and communication between governmental departments to share warnings of a likely terror strike prior to last Sunday's carnage in and around Colombo, blame, knowledge and notification of terror do not necessarily trump the conditions, the atmosphere and the ability to execute terror in any society.
If conditions and attitudes for terror are present, then any notification of possible terror in any community could be deemed as being a haphazard guess. An egg will not fry in sitting in the refrigerator. Heat is needed. Minus the heat, the egg will not fry.
Therefore, as the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Rani Wickremesinghe, according to the BBC-News, asserts that he had no prior notification of any pending terror in his country, and in light of the firings of police and defense officials, Sri Lanka has to admit that it harbored the conditions for terror.
Moreover, Sri Lanka is not alone in possessing conditions for terror. Many lands share similar conditions and attitudes. Hence, it is high time for communities all around the world to set about the work to eliminating all conditions and attitudes for terror.
