The prevailing trend of division in the United States (US) that is fueled by fear, hate, violence and idle rhetoric , is not a healthy attribute of a prosperous and world-leading nation. If the trend continues on its current trajectory, then it would inevitably weaken the Republic, thus throwing it into a state of decay with the likelihood of ultimate failure as a consequence in the long run.
No rational person in the US wishes this fate upon the Union. Yet, ongoing nationalistic, apathetic and irrational rhetoric that is slowly becoming policy, do run the risk of causing the death of the organism that we now know as the living American Republic. Moreover, any failure to calm present man-made political and social divisions, violence, hate and stresses, could result in reducing the powerful US to a narrow sphere confined within the borders of the backyards of short sighted unilateral individuals, who know no greater boundaries than their own fences.
Therefore, to continue the centuries-old greatness of the American Republic, the Executive Office must first desist from any further acts or rhetoric that appear to promote apathy, nationalism, hate, division and isolationism. Also, the traditional healthy relationship with allies should be affirmed. International pacts should be recognized.
If the Executive fails to take the necessary steps toward reversing division, hate and violence, then come January 2019, the Congress - the US House of Representatives in particular, must proceed with full legislative powers to remedy the apparent decline of opportunity, equality, stability and rule of law across America.
