The Women's Notice - Beware the Scorn, Protect the Rights

Yesterday, millions of women assembled at marches and protests in the United States(US) and across the globe, to give notice to a new administration in Washington, DC, to beware the scorn of women and to protect the rights - human, civil and reproductive, of all the people.

Transcending from Washington, DC -  where more than 500,000 people rallied at the National Mall in greater numbers than the previous day's inauguration event, and spanning to  Paradise Bay, Antarctica; women, their spouses, their children, their families, their friends and their associates, gathered amid a healthy feel-good energy to proclaim their respect of the freedoms of democracy and the inherent rights of humankind.

In reaffirming that they will not stand idly to any erosion of their rights from a new administration in the White House, the women of the world exhibited and highlighted the global solidarity against any attempts at tyranny.

The worldwide assembly of women included marches and rallies in the following US cities:

Washington, District of Columbia
New York City, New York
Boston, Massachusetts
Los Angeles, California
Atlanta, Georgia
Chicago, Illinois
Sacramento, California
San Francisco, California
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Denver, Colorado
Miami, Florida
Park City, Utah
Columbia, South Carolina
Brewer, Massachusetts,
Des Moines, Iowa, and some other cities.

And across the globe, in the following cities:

London, England
Paradise Bay, Antarctica
Paris, France
Barcelona, Spain
Belgrade, Serbia
Auckland, New Zealand
Kolkata, India
Tel Aviv, Israel
Melbourne, Australia
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Berlin, Germany
Bangkok, Thailand
Athens, Greece
Lisbon, Portugal
Brussels, Belgium, and some other nations.

Underscored by the marches and the protests by women across the world yesterday,  was the emphatic fact that people are not afraid to stand for their rights. They have given notice. Governments must respect and protect the rights of all the people.
