World peace - that sweet self evoking passion for tranquility, and for solace toward the hope for comfort and for serenity, which has been popularized by beauty contestants for many years, continues to elude reality. The conceptual misconception of peace has endured as a topic of hopes, of fantasies and of dreams for many. In reality, it is difficult to identify any place on planet Earth, where for at least a minimum of twenty-four hours, the normal freedom from civil and military commotion and violence, is ever enjoyed by all the peoples of the world. Thus, there's no world peace.
So illusive has been peace that breaks of days, or of weeks, or of months, or of years between conflicts, have been categorized as peace. But breaks in major conflicts cannot equate to world peace when in perpetuity across a pond, a lake, a river, a sea, a continent, a hill, a street or an island, the tranquility and the harmony of some people are constantly broken by some emerging perpetrator at every second of each day. Why? Because the lunacy, the arrogance, the greed, the hate and the disrespect of one to another remains evident.
In lieu of world peace, our world which perhaps has not known true peace since the days of the "hunter-gatherers", is forced to accept token symbols of peace which we cherish dearly against a background of the aggression and the violence brought to wrought by rising powers, agitators and decaying powers coupled with stark extremism. But we retain our dreams, our fantasies and our hopes for without them, envisioning a tomorrow and beyond would be difficult.
