The evidence is irrefutably compelling, the ISIL represents a real global threat, thus direct immediate action must be forthcoming to eliminate the persecutors of religious and ethic minorities and the killers of nationalities.
Recognizing the atrocities of the ISIL upon Christians and other religious and ethnic minorities and its capabilities to wreck further destruction, United States(US) President Barrack Obama warned a disunion Iraqi government to unite to fight the "wolf"(the ISIL) at the door. But with yesterday's barbaric beheading assassination of US journalist James Foley, the ISIL has sent a clear message that it has violently entered the doors of the world, that it intends to devour stability and security and that it's threats are real. Thus, an immediate global response to the ISIL's threats must be forthcoming.
On consideration of the atrocities of the ISIL, Pope Francis has reasoned that: "In these cases, where there is an unjust aggressor, I can only say that it is licit to stop the unjust aggressor," the Associated Press reported. Moreover, the Vatican's Ambassador to the United Nations(UN) in Geneva, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi has concurred that: "Maybe military action is necessary at the moment" to reign in the terror of the ISIL. Saudi cleric Grand Mufti Sheik Abdul-Aziz Al-Sheik has recognized that extremism and the ideologies of groups like the ISIL and al-Qaeda are Islam's number-one enemy and that terrorism has no place in Islam.
While Iraq's foreign minister Hoshiyar Zebari has determined that the ISIL represents a global threat and not just a threat to Iraq, he has called for international support against the ISIL. Also recognizing the global threat the ISIL poses, France's President Francois Hollande earlier today called for an international conference on ways to fight the ISIL. "We can no longer keep to the traditional debate of intervention or non-intervention," the French President told Le Monde newspaper as reported by Reuters. He added: "We have to come up with a global strategy to fight this group..."
The ISIL's persecution of Christians and other religious and ethnic minorities demonstrates the intent of the terrorists. Its beheading of journalist James Foley and its threat to murder another journalist, Steven Sotloff, is compelling evidence of its intent to destroy nationalities. Clearly, the destruction the ISIL has done will be lasting as it has been grave and certain. All prior attempts to peacefully reign in the group have failed. There are certain and successful prospects to defeat the ISIL to ensure global security and religious and ethnic freedoms. The conditions to confront the ISIL have been met. All responses to the ISIL will not be of conquest, but will be of securing and sustaining national, religious and ethnic freedoms.
