WE HONOR NELSON MANDELA
1918-2013, MAY YOU REST IN ETERNAL PEACE. THANKS FOR BEING OUR HERO!

Our reflections are below

GOOD BYE TATA - A FAREWELL TO NELSON MANDELA

"...he can now rest. Madiba is home. His work is done." We have lost a "giant of history". "Go well Tata, you have played your part." "Nkosi Sikel' iAfrika"(God Bless Africa).

And so we bid farewell and so long to the son of the soil, to the father of modern day freedom,  to a true father of Africa - Nelson Mandela. May the kindness and mercy of the Almighty God be with him as he passes from our world to another, which is fittingly deserving of such a humble, a peaceful and a heroic man, whom "history  will never again see the likes of",  for he was special; and if he wasn't an instrument of God, then none exist nor have ever existed;  and such is my testimony. It is my lamentation that the most Reverend God has allotted a special place in the heavens for Nelson Mandela, if not, then I duly relinquish any desire to aspire to such in deference to hell.

Thousands of South Africans and the rest of world said goodbye to Nelson Mandela today at a funeral in Eastern Cape province. In Qunu, the ancestral home of Nelson Mandela located some 450 miles south of Johannesburg, the anti-apartheid victor and the first Black President of South Africa was interred.

And so an end has come to the commitment, the saga, the triumph, the rule and the life of Nelson Mandela. Now where do we go from here? What were the lessons learnt from Nelson Mandela?

Firstly, to Africa, did you really feel his pain? From his imprisonment to his rule, what lessons will you Africa bring to bear upon the world? Will you remain ignorant and pea-minded in senseless tribal conflicts with your other brothers and your sisters? Will you continue to trade in blood diamonds to finance brutal wars with your neighbors? Will you respect the religion of your neighbor? Will you continue to harbor those misfits whose sole intentions are to cause harm to western civilization? Will you have the audacity to challenge your leaders and your governments?

To the Africans of the diaspora, what are your roles? Are they sufficient just to work, to pay the bills and to attend happy hour? What are your contributions to human development? Are you the western village that will participate in the raising of that child in Chicago, Illinois? Will you the New Yorker get your nephew to pull his trousers from below his buttocks, assist him to stay in school and will you encourage him onto graduation? Will you the Brit in Brixton allow your cousin to be radicalized by a religious cleric? And in Barbados, who will tell the youth that the guns and the drugs are not the Bajan way?

To all others, are you doing anything non self-centered? Will you continue to take and to consume with no regard to future generations? Do you understand that all are equal? Do you understand that never ever again will any allow another to dominate them?

There are many lessons learned from Nelson Mandela's life. I have studied, accepted and incorporated his lessons into my life. My rationale might be complex, but my motto is simple "if you see a good fight, get into it." I'm in many fights with Nelson Mandela having my back. Join us. R.I.P Nelson Mandela, you fought a good fight, you remained resolute, you won the battle; we shall win the war.

 NELSON MANDELA QUOTES

..."After climbing a great hill, one finds that there are many more hills to climb." ..."

For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."

..."If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."

..."Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World."

We will continue to honor and to pay tribute to the most tolerate and non revengeful Nelson Mandela.
